TIVEA Membership

Tanzania Institution Valuers and Estate Agents (TIVEA) is a voluntary Institution embracing professionals in the Land Economy Sector, and Estate Agency established in July 1997.

TIVEA member are in seven categories namely;Honorary Members; Fellow Members; Corporate Members; Associate Members; Graduate Members; Student Members; Technician Members

The Institution has three Chapters namely; Land Economy (Valuation) Practice; Property Management Practice; Estate Agency Practice

TIVEA Objectives

The main objectives of TIVEA include the following:-

  • To support and protect the character, status and interests of the professional conduct among its members.
  • To engender a close relationship with other professional bodies both nationally and internationally associated with the construction industry and land management.
  • To secure the advancement and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge which constitutes the professions of land economy surveying and estate agency.
  • To promote research in and disseminate knowledge and information on subjects relating to or affecting the professions of land economy surveying and estate agency by means of lectures, seminars, publications and workshops.
  • To provide expertise in the economics of construction and land with the aim of achieving optimum use of invested resources.
  • To co-operate with institutions of higher learning which provide academic training for the professionals of land economy surveying
  • To conduct training to prospective members of the institution aspiring to sit for professional examinations.
  • To inculcate professional discipline to its members and to recommend to the National Council of Professional Surveyors (NCPS) for Registration, deregistration of professionals, firms and take appropriate measures against persons who interfere with TIVEA interests.

TIVEA Council

TIVEA has an executive Council that runs day to day affairs of the Institution. TIVEA Council meets from time to time to decide various issues on behalf of its members.

The highest organ of the Institution is the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the President and the Honorary Treasurer present their reports. Council members are elected by the AGM after every two years.
